The Nelson County Pantry received a wonderful gift of community support this year. After the loss of our Thanksgiving turkeys, we thought we would not be able to provide a Christmas dinner for our clients. Much to our surprise, we received enough in donations to not only replace the turkeys, but we were able to purchase canned hams and additional vegetables and produce for our clients. We live in a community that cares so much for their neighbors!
Santa made an early visit to the Pantry on our Distribution Day. He passed out “Kid’s Bags” prepared by the elves at Rockfish Presbyterian Church and toys a special elf (Sarah Ann Burrell) collected all year to make sure Santa had something for all of our little clients.
A BIG THANK YOU to all of our faithful and hard working volunteers!! We have the BEST in the WORLD!! And a Big THANK YOU to this wonderful community for all the support you provide.
